Make It Sew

Welcome to Make-it-Sew! My name is Dawn Luna, and I have been sewing professionally for over twenty years. I received my training in Theater at Florida Atlantic University with a focus in Costume Design. From there, I started making costumes for local community and professional theaters and quickly worked my way to NYC Off-Broadway stages. In 2013, I moved to Los Angeles where I worked on many commercials and feature films. For five years, I constructed costumes and styled wigs for Universal Studios, Hollywood. In 2019, my family and I moved to Boston, where I traveled to various schools each weekday and instructed children ages 5-17 with hand-sewing and machine sewing workshops. This past year, my family and I relocated to St. Cloud, where I am thrilled to be able to share my passion for sewing with children of all ages. 

Please feel free to email me if you are interested in bringing our classes to your event or school. I come with my little wagon of sewing machines and all the sewing supplies needed for each project. I start with instructions and a demonstration. Projects include: pillows, 2-D and 3-D stuffed animals, headbands, aprons, clothing, crafts, weaving, and embroidery.
